General Information on the Pontiac Area
|
|
This
area abounds with a great diversity of indigenous wildlife on land and
in the water. There are many experienced guides in the area to help you
locate the best fishing hot spots. Hunting is popular because of the
good populations of whitetail deer and wild turkey. For water
recreation there's a full-service marina located just 1-½ miles down
the road. The marina has a good hard-surfaced launch ramp, slip
rentals, fuel, and a retail shop with bait, snacks, and marine needs.
This is not a crowded area of the Bull Shoals Lake so it is wonderful
for boating and fishing. There's no heavy wake and there's plenty of
room for wave runner action.

Pontiac Area Fishing
|
|
Bull
Shoals Lake boasts healthy populations of smallmouth, largemouth,
Kentucky, white, and striped bass, as well as rainbow trout, walleye,
crappie, catfish and bluegill. With our gentle winters the lake never
freezes, and some nice lunkers are caught during cooler months. While
fishing is good all year, spring and fall are the best fishing periods.
We have a freezer if you wish to preserve your catch. There's plenty of
room to park your boat trailers in our parking area.

Scuba Diving And Spear Fishing
|
|
There's
plenty of clean, clear water on Bull Shoals Lake to enjoy scuba diving
and spear fishing. Bull Shoals is popular with divers because the
underwater visibility is so good. We have diving groups who stay at
Cactus Ridge who make an adventure out of an underwater treasure hunt.
They also explore unusual underwater rock formations, and watch fish in
their natural habitat.
